F15 Managing pediatric patients with common postoperative complications in the post anesthesia care unit or ward

Key Features:
- This EPA may include the following complications: pain, nausea, vomiting,
tachycardia, bradycardia, hypotension, hypoxemia, respiratory depression,
laryngospasm, post op stridor, postoperative bleeding and delirium.
- This EPA should be observed in both the PACU and on the surgical ward.

• ME 1.3. Apply clinical and biomedical sciences to manage presentations in pediatric patients

• ME 1.4. Recognize urgent problems that may need the involvement of more experienced colleagues and seek their assistance

Requirements

• Collect a minimum of 3 observations (minimum 3)
• At least two patients under the age of 10
• At least two different settings
