Key Features:
- This EPA focuses on in-house or off-site calls or electronic communication with a requesting physician or other health care professional and provision of medical recommendations.
- This includes collecting the information necessary to provide recommendations for patient management including interpretation of labs, triage to an outpatient clinic for assessment, or transfer to an appropriate setting based on acuity.
- This EPA may be observed in simulation (e.g., OSCE).
