Key Features:
- This EPA focuses on unplanned interactions occurring outside of scheduled planned patient encounters and may include responding to calls from patients and/or family members (i.e., on-call) or contacting patients about results.
- This includes providing appropriate and timely advice about management and/or patient disposition, recognizing conditions that can be managed remotely (e.g., virtual) versus those that require in-person assessment, and documenting the encounter.
