Electives
The program provides a wide range of subspecialty rotations in Internal Medicine in many different sites. Residents can always re-take the same subspecialty in multiple sites if they want to re-enforce their knowledge in it or if they are interested in it as a career choice.
In addition, residents who have completed or about to complete their program requirements are eligible to take electives outside of the pre-determined program rotations. Those electives could be both local in Kuwait or abroad.
Residents have successfully applied to electives abroad such as in Canada and Saudi Arabia in the past. Taking electives outside of Kuwait is highly encouraged and the program will support residents in this pursuit.
