Leadership Day

It is a full academic day for R5 residents that focuses on teaching them about the main aspects of leadership to help them to prepare for being Senior Registrars after graduation.

The day is split off into 3 components:

• Starting with 2 lectures that provide them with more information about the foundations of the leader role and then teaching them how to be effective leaders.
• Three to four separate talks by physicians identified as leaders by the residents themselves.
• Three small-group workshops on:
  • Leading and managing in everyday practice
  • Leadership Types
  • Practice Scenarios
