This is a unique rotation that offers a balanced experience in both gastroenterology and hepatology, with dedicated inpatient and outpatient services for each. Residents will gain exposure to advanced procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and FibroScan, as well as hands-on experience in chronic liver disease (CLD) day care services, including therapeutic ascitic tapping. The rotation includes specialized clinics in inflammatory bowel disease and liver transplant follow-up, offering comprehensive training in managing complex GI and liver conditions. Residents are also expected to present a critical analysis of a recent medical article during the weekly journal club.
