Responsibilities:
* Oversee resident assessments and ensure timely ITER distribution and collection.
* Monitor quality of rotations, gather feedback, and resolve issues with tutors.
* Initiate quality improvement projects and consider new rotation proposals.

* Resident Files & Performance Review: Entire evaluation committee under head supervision
Residents’ Environment Committee

Vice (Safety Risk Assessor): Dr. Shaikhah Al-Damer
Responsibilities:
* Safeguard resident well-being and foster a supportive work environment.
* Hold structured monthly meetings with residents to identify issues and propose solutions.
* Develop and implement evidence-based well-being checklists.
Administrative Oversight
To ensure smooth coordination of academic and clinical responsibilities, the following faculty are assigned key oversight roles:

Morning Meetings
Morning meetings are a daily academic and clinical cornerstone. They ensure unified communication, case discussion, and departmental coordination.
Time: 8:00 AM sharp
Location: Main Auditorium (L1)
Attendance: Mandatory – punctuality will be monitored
Participation: Active contribution in case presentations, Q&A, and discussion is required
Specific Responsibilities
Sunday Resident Presentations: Led and moderated by Dr. Mohammad Alhajri (8:00 – 8:30 AM).
* All residents are expected to present and engage according to the assigned schedule.
Weekly Academic Activities
Tuesday – KBIM Site-Based Lectures
Time: 8:00 – 8:30 AM (within morning meeting)
Attendance: Mandatory
Objective: Specialty-focused teaching to strengthen core medical knowledge.
Journal Club
Schedule: Last Wednesday of each month
Lead: Dr. Mohammad Oan
Focus: Critical appraisal, evidence-based medicine, and structured literature review
Objective: To foster critical thinking and research-oriented learning among residents.
Clinical Examinations & Training
OSCE & Bedside Examinations
Faculty Supervisors: Dr. Mohammad Marghani, Dr. Ahmad Altayeb, Dr. Shaikhah Al-Damer, Dr. Nadia Al-Saffar, Dr. Mohammad Mujtaba, Dr. Naser Sanad
Resident Levels:
* R1–R3: Bedside examination orientation twice monthly (divided into two groups to maintain workflow).
* R4–R5: OSCE assessments.
Oral Examinations

* Resident Levels: R4 and R5
MCQ Assessments
Frequency: Once or twice monthly
Faculty Supervisor: Dr. Mohammad Al-Hussaini
Objective: Reinforce core concepts and exam readiness through structured multiple-choice testing.
Resident Expectations
As KBIM residents at Al-Jahra, you are expected to:
1. Maintain punctuality for all mandatory sessions (morning meetings, site-based lectures, bedside teaching).
2. Participate actively in discussions, presentations, and assessments.
3. Prepare thoroughly for examinations (OSCEs, orals, MCQs) and seek timely feedback.
4. Communicate effectively with assigned faculty regarding academic or administrative concerns.
5. Demonstrate professionalism at all times, reflecting KBIM’s values of integrity, excellence, and teamwork.
