During hematology rotation for medical board residents , Participants Will undergo a good experience in diagnosis and management of varieties of hematology disorders.This rotation encompasses a clinical exposure for inpatient and outpatient services. After morning meeting with internal medicine department, resident will join the hematology service in early morning. Resident will have the opportunity to triage cases with team , seeing new cases and follow up the old cases. During hematology rotation , residents will see and cover the whole hospital consultations including : medical , surgical , obs/ gyn ward , ICU and CCU which give a huge exposure to variety cases and management as well . Residents will participate in outpatient clinic as they are scheduled to attend general hematology clinic and see a lot of hematology diseases and their management . Also residents will be attending the specialized clinic ( thrombosis clinic ) which is a unique to hematology service in Jahra which let the residents to see and manage difficult cases ( thrombosis vs bleeding )
In hematology rotation , we have a journal meeting , weekly lecture that residents join and will assign one day to resident to present a topic in these events.
Our tutors provide the residents with lectures covering the topics of hematology and updated guidelines of management of common hematology diseases.
