ICU Daily schedule :
- Arrive in ICU 7:00 am - Rounds begin 9:30-11:30 - Sign out 1:00 Pm
Weekend duties start at 8:30 am.
Schedule:
- During this rotation, the Resident is expected to participate in the clinical activities, rounds etc. as
assigned
- Orientation For ICU rotation, an orientation session will be given immediately following morning
rounds on the first day of the rotation .
- Residents are expected to preround, follow patients and write daily progress notes as done in the ICU.
The educational objective is for the residents to clearly and accurately communicate the assessment and
plan discussed on rounds that day at an early intern level. Notes should be accurate, describe the
reasoning for the day’s plan, timely, and free of copy and paste abuse and useful.
Goal:
• The primary goal of the resident’s ICU rotation is to achieve competency in the areas described below
during their rotations in the Intensive Care Unit. To recognize the importance of the inter-disciplinary
team members in the optimal care of the critically ill patient.
