Dear Resident,

We are excited to welcome you to our Geriatric Medicine Service. We provide a Multidisciplinary/Interdisciplinary approach with our services being focused on providing inpatient consultations for all departments and a weekly outpatient clinic.

First Day information:
Please contact Dr. Khaled Alshatti prior to your start date to establish time and place of meeting.
Please note that the site coordinator from the Internal Medicine department will notify you regarding your call schedule requirements.
Please notify us with changes related to sick and annual leaves, academic half days, and other commitments with your program.

• Delirium
• Dementia and Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia
• Mood concerns (depression, anxiety)
• Multi-complexity/morbidity
• Falls
• Functional decline
• Frailty
• Caregiver Stress
• Urinary & fecal incontinence
• Polypharmacy
• Pain management in the elderly
• Goals of care and palliation for end stage dementia/frailty
• Complicated discharge requirements
