I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Egypt, in December 1996. Following the completion of medical school, I embarked on an extensive training journey at Benha University Hospital, where I completed an internship from 1997 to 1998. This foundational training was followed by a residency in the Rheumatology Department, which lasted from October 1998 to October 2001.
In the early stages of my career, I served as a Rheumatology specialist in the private sector from October 2001 to March 2003. Then transitioned to academic roles, beginning as an assistant lecturer of Rheumatology at Benha University Hospitals in March 2003. Then I was promoted to numerous roles: Assistant Professor of Rheumatology from September 2007 to March 2014, Associate Professor of Rheumatology from March 2014 to November 2021, and ultimately to the position of Professor of Rheumatology, which I have held since November 2021.

Qualifications:

• Medical Doctorate (MD) in Rheumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Egypt (May 2007).

• Master's Degree (MSc) in Rheumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Egypt (November 2001).

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.Ch.), Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Egypt (December 1996).

Throughout my career, I have engaged in significant researches and academic activities within the field of Rheumatology.

I have supervised numerous MSc theses in the fields of rheumatology and immunology, including:
• Assessment of Synovitis of Hand Joints in Rheumatoid Arthritis Using Power Doppler Ultrasound (MSc, 2008–2010)
